In the short story Hecatommithi the theme of jealousy, i believe would be best portrayed in the play. I believe that jealousy determines how much you trust a person; it would be to portray this emotion to the audience as it is something we can all relate to. If one feels jealous and believes the lies that are being told to them simply means that the trust between the two of them is not mutual. The theme of jealousy is very prominent throughout the entire story changing how we see the intentions of each character.The jealousy created by Hugo, i believe would make the play come to life and would make the play relate to modern day life.
I believe that the Ensign will kill himself after he kills Desdemona, because he can't live a day without her in his life. The guilt would bring him down very fast and he would not be able to live with it on his conscience
